ReplyDeleteNormally I'm skeeved out by any May-December romance, no matter where the gender roles fall, but Harold & Maude just has this indescribable charm that pushes past that ick factor. And I found it hilarious when Steve used the "manic pixie dreamgirl" label for Maude.
For such a small wacky film, 11:14 is really sticking out in my memory. I remember watching it for a certain Ben Foster episode of Reel Insight *ahem*. I think Hilary Swank's story was the funniest, mainly because of how un-Hilary Swank her character was. However, Rachel Leigh Cook's story I found to be rather annoying, and I didn't like that it more or less tied up the film.
Sorry, I haven't commented lately, but I'm loving the new format and co-host. Hearing how you'll "redecorate" the Tower to correspond with the episode's topic is always fun. Keep it up, jive turkeys ;)
